- the Potential of Web Resources
This event is sponsored by Atypon www.atypon.com
In most disciplines it is now possible to assume that all scholars are virtual
scholars and that they can be optimally reached through the web. For
journal publishers (particularly STM) the web-site is the front-line for
attracting authors and readers and a lot of money is now spent providing
author services including online editorial systems and user experiences
(mimicking Google) in order to get the best authors and the most users.
Our speakers will be looking at modes of providing authors with
encouragements to submit to your journal, and ways of giving potential
readers navigation and other enhancements to make it easy to find the
article sought or enable browsing mechanisms leading to pleasant
discoveries.
This event will be preceded by the OPuS AGM (normally only takes 5 minutes!)
Nancy Wing — Senior Web Publishing Manager, Wiley-Blackwell
Lorna Berrett — Senior Web Publishing Manager, Wiley-Blackwell
This OPuS event takes place at:
